Someone once posted that the most profitable cruises were the very short ones like 3 & 4 day trips - The crowd spends most of their vacation dollars in the first few days & then it trickles off fairly quickly. Did you ever notice that the casino's were most crowded the the first couple of nights. Keep the ship filled with new fresh people dieing to spend their money as fast as possible and it'll be sure to turn a profit much faster. Frequent cruisers like myself who prefer nothing shorter than 10 days are not very cost effective for their bottom line - We don't go to the casino, we don't drink their liquor, specialty coffee or gelata, we don't buy their photo's, we don't shop on-board and very seldom go to their Specility restaurants. If they relied on customers like me they'd be broke in no time.
