I'd agree that the food is not the best. DCL to me is about little moments of magic. I cruise DCL to for my kids (but they are honestly just as happy on a mainstream cruise).

The character experiences are enjoyable! No child is ever rushed out of a character encounter. The shows are excellent.

But for the price, I feel my money is better spent elsewhere.

There are also a lot of kids on Disney, not all, as well behaved as my own. My own kids don't enjoy the kids club because there are too many kids there. My kids are happy to have sailed DCL twice, but they are not rushing to go another. They enjoy the DreamWorks cruises on RCL but their fave remains HAL - lol - probably because there are so few kids on those cruises. : )
