CQ, hope you will be able to celebrate Thanksgiving at home. Here is my holiday at the hospital story.

Several years ago my father had knee surgery shortly before Christmas. He was recovering as quickly as the Dr thought he wasn't recovering quickly enough and said dad would have to spend Christmas in the hospital. We could use the community room for our celebration. Mom said something like "we don't celebrate Christmas in the hospital" one of my old classmates was nearby, her mother had worked with my grandmother. She told the nurse in charge, "do you know who this is? This is Netie Winningham's daughter. You should discharge her husband." Dad was dismissed and was with us for Christmas. A couple weeks later he was back to continue his rehab.

Unfortunately, a couple years later we had Easter in the family room of they hospital while mom was unable to leave her hospital room.
