It is not hurting Carnival corporation either as they have HAL with less strict nonsmoking rules-so they have a cruise line for their smokers to go to who want to smoke on their balcony- which is fair -the smokers needs somewhere to go.

However, all the more reason I will avoid HAL in the future. It was bad enough after Celebrity stopped the balcony smoking. We were on HAL in Jan, 2010 right after the Celebrity no smoking on balcony rule went into effect. We could not believe how many smokers there were on our cruise. It has to be much worst now.
