Yesterday, I did a price comparison on what we would normally spend on the cruise and if the $899 would be of value or not.
Normally, we would have dinner in four specialty restaurants on a seven day cruise.
Do no ship's excursions.
Pay around $300 - $350 for drinks
Never drink the wine (especially if it's the same swill they give you when you are in a suite)
Buy zero or one photo.
Do pay the gratuities.
With what we spend on a seven day cruise, on NCL, $899 would cover both of us and it would not be worth it.
I love the idea of being all-inclusive but I think they should trim the "crap" out of it and just make it: Dining, beverage and gratuities. I don't know how much that would lower the price but it would fit in with us. Until then we'll just go "al a carte".
