We are in Las Terrenas, Dominican Republic which is on the north coast of the Samana Peninsula. This area escaped the hurricanes with very little damage compared to others. Certain beach areas did have some erosion and of course there are trees down. Locals say they dodged a bullet. Our villa is in a condominium complex that looks very similar to an all-inclusive resort.....just no all day snacks and drinks. Grocery store food prices are slightly higher than back home; wine prices about the same and crevasse/beer is cheaper. Sunny, hot and humid. The ocean water is warm and you donít need to ease yourself in.
