For those who are not familiar with the Ocean Players Club, it is a great perk for those of us who gamble for higher stakes.
At table games, in order to qualify, you need to bet a minimum of $25 and play an average of two hours a day (total 14 hours on a 7 day cruise), you qualify to earn points. About three weeks after the cruise, you will get a letter from the Casino Department telling you how many points you earned. On your next cruise, you bring the letter to the casino and they will give you cash or chips.
Once you have a history with them, notify the casino department in advance of your cruise. They will advise the staff in the casino that you are coming, and you will be treated as a VIP. Also, on my last two cruises, my cabin was decorated with balloons and streamers, and I received a cake, bottle of wine, fruit basket and two bottles of Evian water, all courtesy of the casino department.
I have not spoken to Lynn in the casino department, but I have dealt with Barbara and Maria and have found them to be wonderful, as were all the saff in the casinos on the ships.
