Cunard is accepting reservations for both cruises. I have made a booking and deposit on the QE2's full cruise. There is a good promo for past passengers in addition to early booking fare.
The day to day itinerary for both ships is available from Cunard. QE2 will follow her usual route with a few changes, including a circumnavigation of Africa this year rather than a transit through the Suez and into the Mediterranean. QE2 will return directly to New York after the call at Southampton towards the end of the world voyage.
Queen Mary will spend about 80 days and will visit far fewer ports. There are many days at sea, obviously the result of Queen Mary's inability to use the Panama Canal to access the Pacific. Of course, the highlight of both world cruises will be the tandem departure of both ships from Lauderdale and the tandem arrival some six weeks later in Sydney. Queen Mary will follow the Suez/Mediterranean route and complete the voyage in Lauderdale following the call at Southampton.
Let me know who else is going!
