Re: MSC New Ship Order
MSC negotiating to order two ships.
FORT LAUDERDALE -- MSC Cruises is in negotiations to order two cruise ships that would have about 1,600 cabins each, more than Royal Caribbean International’s Voyager-class vessels.
The line confirmed Monday it is in negotiations with three shipyards for the two-ship order but declined to provide details on the negotiations, including the ships’ expected size.
MSC has six cruise ships currently; two more, the Musica and one unnamed vessel, are on order with Chantiers de l’Atlantique shipyard in St-Nazaire, France, for deliveries in 2006 and 2007.
