We will be sailing on the Infinity (Celebrity Lines) on February 1st from Valparaiso, Chile to Buenos Aires. I have been told by a friend that upon our flight arrival in Santiago, we will be required, as an American citizen, to pay the immigration officer a fee of $100 per person. The fee is based on the principle of reciprocity. Is this true, or is it a hoax.? We were not advised of such a fee at the time of booking.
