Sitka is a little harder to get to. There is a section of very, very narrow access (called the Narrows) where you can almost touch the bank on either side. I would guess that some of the larger cruise vessels don't like to navigate this area. The tides are extreme and current is very swift. I have been there 3-4 times on the Alaska ferry system. You can take the Alaska ferry from Juneau and spend a few days and then head back ot Juneau iv youf schedule permits. Sitka is one of the most enjoyable towns in the Southest. Very historic and color Russian Orothodox church.
