I would never consider Canada boring. Its definetly not the Carribbean and if you want to lounge around on a beach all day, its not the thing for you, but there is a lot of history and culture in many of the Canadian and New England ports. I'm surprised that your parents wouldnt want you to explore a new place and broaden your horizons by going on a cruise to Canada. I suppose it may depend on how old you are if you would appreciate the ports on a Canadian cruise.
