Thanks Cruise Cynic - that was very interesting. I wouldn't be surprised if some of your predictions actually come true! Although the second-to-last one seems kind of far-fetched.
I think also in the future people will get tired of the mega-ships and there will be a boom in building smaller, more yacht-like cruise ships. Although there will be a market for both kinds.
