WASHINGTON — The State Department on Friday ordered its embassies around the world to issue a "warden's message" to Americans living abroad to "be prepared in case of emergency."
All Americans living out of the country are being urged to have their medicines and documents up-to-date and readily available in the event they need to be evacuated for any reason, including a terrorist attack.
It sounds like they are expecting trouble.
