Another idea - call the "Car Talk" guys on NPR - they might not have an answer, but they'll sure give you some laughs. Actually, they very often DO solve the problem over the phone. Up here it's on either Sat. or Sunday - check your public radio listings for "Car Talk" - it's great fun and very informative.
