We are a bi racial couple in our 60's, Canadian; my husband is Japanese, and I am caucasian Our trip was about 5 years ago, and we were on the Royal Princess on the Baltic trip. At dinner time we were seated in open seating with 2 other couples, about the same age who didn't know each other, began a heated conversation about being held in a concentration camp by the "Japs" during the Second World War. We didn't say anything, and the conversation got nastier, and heated - such hatred! It was if we weren't at the table. Finially we couldn't stand it anymore and just stood up and left. We have never forgotten this, and it makes us very sad .
