The reason that vanilla is so inexpensive in Mexico, is because it is a native plant. Chedraui is located down the main street, to the right when you get to the end of the pier. As was quoted it about a five minute walk. We purchased iliter bottles for under $2 each. This is as close to a walmart in Cozumel. They also have a grocery section. you may want to check it out. US dollars are taken, but remember they will give you change in Mexican currency, so you may want to have small bills close to your total sale. There are also smaller sizes. You may want to take a strong shopping bag. Your purchases are given in a grocery store plastic bag. We walked back to the pier and the bottles do get heavy. Good cruise
