Our best cruise yet! We just returned from an 8-night cruise on the Carnival Legend, with port stops in Belize, Costa Rica and Panama. This was our first time on a Carnival cruise. We were very impressed with the great service..every one of the Legend employees we dealt with was helpful, courteous, and friendly. Our stateroom was roomy, bright and clean. The meals were excellent; finally, we found a cruise that offered a great menu selection, and served normal-sized portions of excellent food, rather than the giant portions of good food on our other cruiselines. The choice of shore excursions was good. We particularly enjoyed the Panama Canal tour, which brought us by bus from Colon to the start of the canal, on which a tour boat brought through 2 of the sets of locks, approximately 1/2 way through the canal. Very well organized and information. We were slightly disappointed with the Pontoon Jungle tour in Costa Rica..the "jungle" was a bit tamer than advertised, but we did enjoy the scenery. Although there were quite a few children onboard, I felt like they did not interfere with any of the adult activities. In fact, we enjoyed watching many of their "camp" activities. Compared to several other cruises we've taken, I feel the Carnival Legend gave us more value and better service than the other cruiselines we've used in the past.
