I read in our local paper about the Arkansas National Guard, 39th Brigade, who are in the N.O. area to help. They were recently in Iraq and lost several members.
When the convoy went into one area, the local sheriff insisted that they stop and be searched. What the heck were they looking for??? Obviously the members of the Guard were carrying weapons. The Major in charge was quoted as saying, "I've had about all that I can take of that Boss Hogg.", but he let the convoy be searched.
I'm so upset that these people can't do their jobs because of this kind of attitude.
