Default Re: smoking vs. non-smoking

I was happy to experience the almost total "smoke-lessness' on the Explorer. The Q&A section of the RCI Vacatiion Planner says, "For the comfort and enjoyment of our guests, our ships have been designated nonsmoking ships. However, we recognize that some of our guests smoke. Therefore, to provide an onboard environment that also satisfies smokers, we have designated smoking areas in some of our lounges and on all open-air decks..........please refrain from smoking pipes or cigars in any of the public areas...." The smokers were easy to avoid and there is no smoking in or even near the staterooms, dining, shopping, theater, etc. It made for an even more enjoyable cruise for us. I never worried about an asthma flare-up.
