When my wife started Dignity Cruises 15 years ago for primarily transgendered individuals, she met with officials from RCCL and ended up being told that RCCL's legal department had issued a legal document stating that anyone in our group who dressed and acted with dignity would be protected by RCCL from any discrimination from cruise staff and other passengers. In 20 cruises on 4 different cruise lines, we have never had a problem. On two cruises (RCCL and CCL) several men who threatened someone in our group were told to stop this behavior or they would be ousted from the ship at the next port and would have to pay their own expenses to return home. WIth that threat the hostile behavior stopped.
