It has been my experience that the "older" crowd opts for the longer cruises--7 days or longer. But if you are wanting to go on an organized singles cruise the best thing to do is have a heart-to-heart talk with the agency/coordinator sponsoring the cruise and tell them you want to make sure you are not going to be traveling with a younger group. If they can't--or won't--give you any idea of the age range, then try another agency. You will also find many listings on the Cruisemates Singles Calendar specifically for the "more mature," because agencies are realizing that people in their late 40s and older prefer to be with others in the same age range.
