I don't think it hurts anybody to put on a pair of dockers and a clean shirt with a collar on it to dine in the dining room. If people want to wear sweat pants and tank tops they can do that at the casual dining locations or with room service.

In many restaurants, people not dressed according to the mood of the restaurant are often seated by the frequently swinging door to the kitchen or the dishwashing station.
Water finds its own level.
