I have diabetes and got a tattoo. My doctor said to be extra careful with care during healing, to rub it regularly with neosporin twice as often as recommended for a week longer than recommended. I never accept alleged diabetic taboos without checking the facts out. As far as the current topic goes, I believe there are tasteful tattoos and cheap nasty looking ones. I have a personal aversion to tattoos on the neck and face. Piercings outside of the ear and nose are gross in my not so humble opinion.
