Hi - cruising on the NCL Sun in march and want to do this right. I'm a big believer in tipping where it counts, and intend to take the auto-tipping off of my bill and do this the right way. SO! Here's my question.
How to tip waiters with NCL's "freestyle cruising" concept? We'll probably want to try all the different restaurants so it's possible that we will never see the same waiter/busboy twice during the course of the week. So, the standard "3.50 to main waiter, $2.00 to junior waiter" rule doesn't apply here. How to handle this?
Secondly, have any of you ever drawn the room steward aside and said "this is just for you, don't share it"? If I want to give my steward a phenomenal tip, I want her to be able to enjoy it! S/he earned it!!!
