We here in the Great White North have evolved to where tipping is the custom - much the same as it is in the USA - the standard 15% would apply. We also have indoor plumbing and ride horses only for pleasure.

Actually, I think her question was serious. Obviously that poster is not from Canada and not familiar with our tipping customs. I certainly don't know the tipping customs of everywhere I travel, so I ask questions before I travel (much like Ms_Kalamity).
As a fellow Canadian, I am offended by how you answered the question. If you thought that the post was a joke, you could have just ignored it.
I thought it was a legitmate question.
