We did the opposite journey earlier this year. After debark we went by coach, had an excellent guide who pointed out the three differing regions enroute, their ecology and industry.

To appreciate the scenery you need:

a. to have an allround view if possible

b. be sitting well above the ground

c. to have a knowleagable guide

We would have liked to be able to take a day over this journey and to stop at a few spots - but that costs!
