Hi Syrena,

Having travelled mainly with P&O, we saw a very similar cruise on Golden last year so decided to give her a try, and now look at all the Princess cruises before considering P&O. We are serioualy considering booking this cruise, esopecially as it is Katrina's 40th birthday.

Last year the ship didn't have many children on board as most people wouldn't travel all that way with children just for a short cruise. I am 42 & would say that we were about the average age for the cruise.

There is a fantastic nightclub at the back/rear/stern of the ship, and although we didn't rate the DJ's choice of music, the club was bouncing every night & still going when we gave up in the early hours.

If you have the chance to spend a couple of days before or after the cruise in Southampton, you'll find plenty to see within an hour or so's travel. Including London, Winchester, Salisbury, Stonehenge, The New Forest to name but a few.

We would suggest that you seriously consider doing your own thing rather than joining organised tours. Our tips for each of the ports would be ...

Dublin - take a guided walk around the city, and Trinity College
Glasgow - not our favourite place, so yes we would suggest a tour to Edinburgh from here
Bergen - is a lovely fishing village (albeit Norway's wettest town) there is a cable-tram service that runs up to the top of the hills to a place called Floyen where the views (ona clear day) are stunning
Rotterdam - must admit have always travelled into nearby Amsterdam for their famous diamond warehouses, markets, museums, 'nightlife' and 'coffee shops'. Great for souvenir shopping as well
Zeebrugge - most of the ships will run a shuttle bus into nearby Blankenberg & drop you by the train station for trips into Bruges. A brilliant canalled city, with loads of chocolate shops & sites.
Le Havre - if you don't take one of the trips, Le Havre is a bit limitted. It is a typical dock city, but you can easily walk round to the city which has a good selection of large shops, and a lovely beach area.

If you register with P&O's Cruise Connections site, you can access various message boards there. We have a very long report on our Golden trip posted under the On Board Forum / Individual Ships / Sea Princess (the only Princess option there). Or if you are registered here, I'll mail it to you.

I guarantee you will have a fantastic time. let us know if there is anything we can do to help.
