If you were on the Star Princess during the fire, or have ever sailed on the Star Princess, you should read the following news bulletin & go to their site for further instructions. I found it on the web site for the Marine Accident Investigation Branch, the body overseeing the investigation.
MAIB leading Star Princess fire investigation
A serious fire aboard the Bermuda-flagged cruise ship Star Princess is being investigated by the UK's Marine Accident Investigation Branch.
The fire broke out early on Thursday morning aboard the 108,977 gross ton vessel as she was on passage between Grand Cayman and Montego Bay, Jamaica. One fatality and eleven injuries have been reported.
The Bermudian authorities invited the MAIB to conduct the investigation on their behalf under a long-standing arrangement between the UK and other Red Ensign countries.
The MAIB are leading a team that includes the United States Coast Guard, the National Transportation Safety Board, and fire investigators from the FBI.
If you were on board when the fire broke out, or have perhaps sailed on a previous voyage on the Star Princess, and have any information that you think would be helpful to the MAIB's investigation, please complete a Passenger Questionnaire which can be downloaded here:
