I understand that these things do happen and of course we all want whoever is sick to be taken care of properly but, business is business. A lot of people will be inconvenienced and costs incurred and I am sure it would be wonderful if the situation could be explained to the phone companies, limo drivers, hotels, etc about the delay and such and no one should have to incur any additional expenses for the results of the ship being delayed by eight hours. While Carnival legally protects itself in the contract the right thing to do is to offer fair compensation to all the people who are put out due to this situation. Shipboard credits, coupons, casino chips, bottle of wine, etc. These things will not make up for the loss of a day on my vacation but they will make me feel better about Carnival. A little consideration goes a long way.
