Doesn't Carnival have a "gurantee" policy that if you don't enjoy your cruise you get your $$$$ back ? How does that work and would it apply in this case ?(I suspect there is a clause that talks about medical emergencies)

Let's hope that our original poster after his first full day at sea, will take a moment and reflect that the delay did not spoil his cruise..Sometimes a brief respite puts a different light on the incident when one is in the heat of the moment

Maybe trip insurance could charge a surcharge for this type of event rather than looking to the cruise line
