We are off on our first ever cruise in three weeks - Princess Dawn to Alaska. We signed up for several (moderate not strenuous) shore excursions and are wondering about footwear.
We were thinking of just our athletic shoes but are wondering if it would be worth investing in hiking shoes.
Any thoughts?

Regular shoes generally are fine for excursions that require moderate walking in conjunction with standard sightseeing and nature walks. Athletic shoes would be acceptable, but regular leather shoes might be more suitable depending upon the attractions along the way.
