Personally we like second-seating Traditional dining. It just seems to be a bit more relaxed. 8:30 seems really late, but we found that we liked it. It gives us plenty of time to relax after a long ashore day. We usually catch an afternoon snooze(seriously this is a great thing on a cruise) on deck or in our stateroom. If we get hungry we can either go to Horizon Court and get a light salad, sandwich or if we want to totally veg we will order from room service. We also like to get together with our cruising friends for a cocktail before dinner.
We also love the personal attention we get from our wait team, who gets to know our wants, likes and dislikes. Its really a treat to be seated at our table and have the waiter ask "Would you like your Grey Goose and Tonic with a twist of lemon tonight?"
