We spend many hours in our cabin and on our balcony. Since we only take one cruise a year, we are lucky enough to book S suites (on HAL) and AB suites on NCL. It's not that we don't enjoy being around others but after a few hours in the morning at the pool, we love to just crash in our cabin, have room service for late lunch and then nap on the balcony.

I agree with others who stated there's nothing like watching the sun rise from your balcony and then watching the sun set each evening. I enjoy watching the ship pull into each port as well.

If you can grab a balcony at a great price then I would go for it! The sea breeze and the smell of the ocean can't be beat.........
