Manuel,

I am confused by the abbreviations I see such as DH.......what does it stand for? Can someone fill me in on this and others that appear on these posts......THANK YOU.

Here's some of the common Internet shorthand that you may see on message boards, in chat rooms, and in e-mail messages.

>> @C = At Sea

>> BIL = Brother-In-Law

>> BRB = Be Right Back

>> BTW = By The Way

>> C U L8R = See You Later

>> DD = Dear Daughter

>> DH = Dear Husband

>> DS = Dear Son

>> DW = Dear Wife

>> FIL = Father-In-Law

>> FWIW = For What It's Worth

>> FYI = For Your Information

>> IMHO = In My Humble Opinon

>> IMNSHO = In My Not So Humble Opinion

>> JM$0.2 = Just My Two Cents

>> IOW = In Other Words

>> JTOL = Just Thinking Out Loud

>> = Laughing Out Loud

>> MIL = Mother-In-Law

>> RTFM = Read The Flippin' Manual

>> SIL = Sister-In-Law OR Son-In-Law

>> VBG = Very Big Grin

>> WYWO = While You Were Out

>> YMMV = Your Mileage May Vary (modern saying, best understood to mean that your tastes or preferences may differ)

This list is, of course, far from complete, so feel free to ask if you see others.

Norm.
