I was on the Paradise when it was non-smoking too. My first cruise.
We took our second cruise on the Carnival Valor. I didn't enjoy having to go to the lounge every evening, because it was the only non-smoking entertainment after the show and dining. We tried the Piano Bar and couldn't breath in there, casino was eye watering with smoke and 2 other places.
Our next cruise will be Holland's Noordam July 8th, 2007. I understand the promegade deck only has smoking in the casino and sports bar. I hope that is the case cause there will be more places for us to go.
I'm interested in learning more about the non-smoking side of a ship on every deck. Does this include the cabins? Is it possible to get a cabin with a non -smoking side of a ship so the balcony won't get smoke in it? My husband says fat chance, but i'm hoping for some good news. I'm ready to change what side we are on if this is true. We are booked on the port side now.
