We are scheduled to arrive at the cruise port in Los Angeles ( I think it is near Long Beach) at 7.00 am. If I book a flight out of LAX at 1.50 pm on Southwest airlines is there sufficient time to make the connection taking into account security lineups etc
That flight should be fine. Celebrity's stated policy is that flights must leave Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) after 12:30 PM on disembarkation day to use the line's transfers.
