For me, this is the same as anything I buy that is not a necessity. If it is something I want at a price I can afford, I buy it. The end. No angst over whether I got the best deal possible. We have friends who are constantly on the "good deal" wagon. If I can't afford something, then it is not a good deal FOR ME. If I can and decide to go for it and someone else gets a better deal, good for them. That's not to say that I don't shop around or check to see if the price drops, but I don't see the sense in taking some of the joy out of it by worrying about the competitive one downmanship of having paid the least.
