Previous to this weekend, I had only been on Carnival. Now that we've experienced Royal, we will definately go back. We had a great time on both lines and wouldn't hesitate to cruise with either again.

I will say this, both my husband and I felt like the service was far superior on Royal. The crew members were soooo friendly we couldn't believe it. The bar staff and drink quality were also far better than on either of our Carnival cruises. We also felt like the dining room food was slightly better. We generally eat a light breakfast and lunch in the buffet and thought the two lines were comparable in this area. Our cabin stewards have all been great, I couldn't give either line the edge in this area. We also felt like the beds and bedding were comparable. I liked the the entertainment on Royal better; my husband said he liked both and couldn't give either the edge here. We didn't use the children's program.
