Yes, a nice pair of slacks, blouse/sweater are perfectly fine for the casual evening on an Alaska cruise. You can even wear a skirt and don't rule out white slacks either. Depending on when you are going, and as long as you take a sweater, its not that cold onboard. If you should go out on deck, a light jacket or sweater would most likely be necessary.
