I think it changed sometime last year. I had always done it in the past. I have heard of some still doing it. Perhaps it depends on who is in the shop at the time. I will try it again next time and see what happens. When I did my one Carnival cruise it was a firm no. RCI followed suit after, in part, the George Smith incident. At least that is what I have heard. They tightened up their alcohol policies with the bad publicity. Used to be you could drink beer and wine at 18 when in international waters, then you had to have parents permission, now you have to be 21 regardless. A few people get wasted and fall overboard and ruin it for us responsible drinkers.
