As far as tips, theres really nothing different about a trip on the Freedom versus other RCI cruises. Its very similar to the Voyager class of ships and if you remember the Explorer's deck plan then you will be able to navigate the Freedom easily. The most changes IMO are on the pool deck, theres the addition of the H2O zone, the cantilivered whirlpools in the solarium, the new rock wall design with the "chimney" and as you expect, the Flowrider surf simulator. Let me say that the Flowrider is highly overrated and not worth waiting in line, i'll leave it at that. Another difference is in the Promenade, its a little bigger and has much cooler entrances with huge light up columns. There are other various changes throughout the ship to give it character and to make it unique. Overall i'd have to say that you'll have a great time and will always remember ur trip on the FOTS.
