AOS is one RCI ship I haven't been on. I have been on two of her sisters, Navigator and Mariner however. I think whether the balcony divider between your two specific balconies opens or not depends on ship's location. Structural bulkheads may be present which would negate this option.
The best bet is to contact Royal Caribbean with your specific question, including your stateroom numbers. They should be able to give you an answer in time for your cruise.
