That is a good point. When we take our 2 children ( 4 and 6) in 2 yrs on a Hawaii cruise we will get a window because it would drive me nuts worring about then out on the balcony.
Without the kids though it isn't even a second thought for the balcony. We were going to do the mini-suite but don't like the fact that they are compleatly exposed to the above cabins. Wife is worried about someone spitting on her.
By the way we are on the Golden in October to the Mexican Riviera too.
