We were a family of 7, so long vacations were impossible because of cost. but we use to go to the beach almost every sunday in the summer.
We live in montreal which is about 60 miles to the US border. We would go Plattsburgh beach in NY and at night to the border Drive inn, because back then drive ins were against the law in Quebec.
