Norm, they way I see it, the cruiseline does not want to be rigid. Within each dress code, there is flexibility and room for interpretation.

They, after all, are trying to appeal to a broad range of people. If the cruiseline exerted too much control on passenger's wardrobe, they would lose many pax!

When we cruise, we do it for ourselves, not for the 2000 fellow pax. We may notice those who look or act differently, but they do not affect our vacation. The big surprise is that when given the opportunity to speak with some of these people, they are not so bad after all!!!!
