Saw that in the papers when in Maui this weekend. Cruiselines may need to do EIRs soon? Seems some are now being required to plug into the grid when docked in various places to reduce emissions...

The Superferries argument is that the cruise lines have yet to do one, so why should they? Well this is true to some extent.
What do you think this will do to the cruise lines running in Hawaii? If it is required, will cruiselines follow with closures and postponements?
