Hi we are first time cruisers and we are going to go to Alaska 6/13/01 on the Carnival Spirit. My biggest concern is what to take as far as clothing. I believe there are 2 formal nights. How formal do you have to get? Dressy pants and top? Long Gowns? Now about men. Also don't know what to except as far as day clothing as far as the temperature goes. HELP.
Hi,I cruised on the Carnival Victory last month,5 day cruise with 2 formal nights and most people had gowns and tux.I had like "docker pants',with dress shirt and sports jacket and fit in.They also rented tux on board for about 60.00.It was also my first cruise,so I didn't know what to bring either.Remember, your'e there to have fun,you don't even have to go to formal night!!! Always different food available.Enjoy.
Temperatures here in Alaska can vary by the minute (), I would pack spring like clothes, a must is a jacket and a windbreaker. Pants, a pair of shorts would not go overboard in that area, sweatshirt. Like I said pack for early spring season and you should be fine. Also a must is a good pair of shoes, depending on what area you are visiting the walking area can be rough. Have a great time
