We are taking the Vision from Vancouver, but we have to fly into Seattle airport and take the shuttle. Has anyone done this? How does it work and is it efficient? Thanks for your help...also, any suggestions for moderately priced hotels near the Seattle airport?
I priced the air transport the other day from Seattle to Vancouver at $83. Price of a car was anywhere from $28 to 61 to 149. Guess the difference might be in dropoff charges.Did not pursue it as have already booked the air through Princess. I used either Travelocity or expedia, don't remember which, for the pricing. Am going to stay a couple of days in Vancouver before Sea Princess on 5/28.
There is Quick Shuttle, which will transfer you Seatac to Canada Place in about 4 hours, due to several stops. I took this once, but usually drive. National, Budget and Avis all have downtown dropoffs and no extra fees. Rates are usually about $70. Get unlimited mileage options. Try the Sleep Inn with airport transfers for about $55, with breakfast.
We are taking the AMTRAK Cascades. The fare is reasonable and the drop off about 2 clicks (Kilometers) from the cruise terminal. Wea re staying down town as the cab fare is a set price fronm the airport to downtown.
Taking Amtrak Cascades from downtown Seattle. Amtrak is having a special this summer. 1st person, full fare; 2nd person, half price;3rd person, free.
Husband and I were $31 one way. We rented a car for return trip as we wanted to do some sightseeing in the Vancouver area.
