Spend 1/2+ day in Seward or Anchorage?

We are not able to fit in a landtour for this cruise. Based on the air reservations I am looking at, we will have part of one day after the cruise... Do we spend it in Seward or Anchorage?

We plan to make another trip in the future to see all the wonderful sights we are going to miss this summer. So, this trip is just the cruise and back home.

Definitely in Anchorage, since that's where the airport is.

The city itself is boring. But we rented a car and drove to Kenai Peninsula -- a few hours) and it is stunning. It's as easy to drive in Alaska as it is in Wyoming -- there are only six roads in the entire state. Everything is well marked.
